We feature events in Wellington and the surrounding areas of Hadley & Leegomery, Wrockwardine & Admaston, Little Wenlock, Lawley, Waters Upton & Crudgington, the Wealdmoors, Longden-on-Tern and High Ercall.

Wellington Drama Festival

Each year the Wellington Theatre Company hosts a Drama Festival, for both Adults and Youth, aimed at encouraging Amateur Drama in Shropshire and beyond. All entries to the Festival are adjudicated, offering the players the chance to get feedback from some seasoned professionals.

Wellington Christmas Lights Switch-On

With Advent about to begin, music from the town's brass band and carols in Market Square will set the scene as Wellington gets lit up in all its festive splendour. Market stalls will add to the atmosphere. More details to follow.

SATURDAY 5th DECEMBER

Wellington H2A's Christmas Bash & Barn Dance

Come along for the first party of the season and help raise funds for Wellington's volunteer arts group, which hosts live, free events across the Summer. Enjoy a home made buffet supper and local real ale whilst listening to music provided by Odd Socks Band of Shrewsbury. Dancing will be led by infamous caller Auntie Maggie, so you can expect to have a fantastic time - whether you're a ceilidh-dancing novice or an old hand.

The Village Hall, Wrockwardine near Wellington

7.30 doors open, music starts at 8, supper served around 9pm.
